Fancy designing a humanoid service robot in the UAE? Here’s your chance

Dubai: Calling techies, thinkers and creators in the UAE, here’s your chance to join the inaugural online Robotics Developers Championship in the region.

Experthub Robotics, a robotic solution provider, announced on Tuesday the first-ever Robotics Developers Championship taking place on November 1. Registration for the online competition is until October 15 and is available on Experthub Robotics website.

Jaya Bhatia, CEO, advisor and founder of Experthubglobal.com, said Robotics Developers Championship is a three-staged challenge “designed to put solution providers and developer’s robotics development skills to the ultimate test.”

The competition will look for practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) in corporate human resources (HR) “to free up human space and focus on complex, creative and strategic tasks”.

She said companies today are adopting automation and robotics to streamline operations and enhance their contribution to overall business goals. We are pleased to introduce our intelligence-driven virtual HR assistants that can be programmed to boost productivity and efficiency while performing at its optimum.”

She said there are intelligence-driven humanoid service robots that offer a perfect blend of a human and machine to support business such as Barista Bot, HR Happiness Bot, Waiter Bot, Order Taker Bot, Retail Promoter Bot, Event Host & Promoter Bot, Entertainer Bot, Recruiter Bot, Assistant Bot and Smart Office Buddy Bot, and more.

Competition mechanics

Entering the contest is free. Participants need to fill up the online form and go through three rounds of competition:

1st Round – Contestants will make a presentation of the planned project.

2nd Round – Winners of 1st round will develop the Robotic App and make presentation of the developed project.

3rd Round – Application of corrections suggested by panel and contestants will make presentation of final project

Experthub Robotics will hold an online award ceremony on November 1
