French flair on full display to celebrate Expo 2020 Dubai ‘National Day’

DUBAI: France’s special Expo 2020 Dubai “national day” Saturday, was marked with an air show by the Patrouille de France above the skies of expo site. 

In formation with eight Alphajet aircraft, the Patrouille de France group adorned the skies with blue, white and red smoke, the colors of the French national flag.

The 25-minute show was performed by pilots from the aerobatics unit of the French Air and Space Force, with Commander Samuel Lanos leading the charge. 

Synchronizing the arial balet, he – along with his partners – performed a series of spectacular maneuvers above the Dubai site. 

The Patrouille de France has been performing these stunts for more than 70 years. 

Expo 2020 Dubai have arranged a series of special national days for each exhibiting country throughout the six month duration of the event. 

The Patrouille de France pilots will also make a tricolor passage on the Abu Dhabi Corniche on Oct. 4 at 4:30pm.
